Officially a Chicagoian!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a pretty big Cubs fan and even more so a huge fan of Wrigley Field. That community feeling in the area around game time and the long history of the field has always made me fall in love with the area every time I visit. I think it also reminds me of Fenway Park which goes even more into my roots as an original Bostonian.

So my roommate Katie and I set up to scalp some tickets for Tuesday night's game against the Milwaukee Brewers (a very appropriate opponent for my first game). She ended up by chance getting some from work for free and we happily sat in section 139, 8th row. It was a great game and a great win for Cubbies! We also got to see Drew Barrymore sing during the 7th inning stretch. I enjoyed my Old Style and Connie's pizza....and my first official Wrigley visit as a Chicago resident.

I'd have to say I'm definitely looking forward to everything else Chicago has in store for me and hopefully this blog will keep my family and close friends up to date on my new experiences!
